"Open-minded isn't about taking the liberal view. Open-minded is being able to see all sides indiscriminately”
~ Heather, Gypsy Bitsy (taken with permission from one of our conversations)

  1. A thoughtful quote ~

Though it is sometimes hard to apply, we strive to do it as it is only when we are open to others, that we gain insights, including insights about ourself.

  2. Agreed. There have been many times I've gained a better understanding of others by asking questions instead of passing judgement. In addition, keeping an open dialogue has also allowed me to gain insight into myself both through their words and revelations I've had in just talking things through.

  3. I'm really glad you shared this. :) I agree with @Heaven though, it is an ideal. But when we strive for ideals we're still working hard and it shows in our lives/relationships.

  4. Ideal is usually unattainable, I think the reward lay in the epiphanies along the way.

  5. This is so true!! Needed this reminder today. xo HHL

P.S. please say hello to Sandy, and let her know I've been missing her posts...c.
