Vulnerable

"When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability…To be alive is to be vulnerable."

  1. Very beautiful quote - so true. We are never not vulnerable. Some of us, as we grow, learn to mask it, others learn to share it, but we never stop being vulnerable. What would we be anyway, if we our vulnerability didn't allow us to be broken? The only true path to beauty is to embrace such vulnerability; the only true beauty is that which is found whilst crawling out of the depths of a dark well, with that yearning to reach that single ray of light shining through at the top. To never stop reaching for that hope; that is the purest kind of love I know - the love of life.

  2. Lovely quote there.
    It is true.
We are not without any vulnerability.
Though many of us wish to not have any weakness; it is not possible.

  3. Hi Barry! I answered your comment like an hour ago, but I guess it didn't work! How are you? How is your cold doing? I hope you are winning, but please take care of yourself, or at least let Sandy look after you.
Of course, you can pick anything you like out of my blog, and post it in yours. I've seen you doing it before, and I think you do so with such respect, I just can't say no.
What an honour, you posting something I posted :)

    Read you soon! Love, xoxo

  4. Hey Vivi! I'm not feeling too bad today, taking care of myself and so is Sandy. :)

Thanks for letting me use that quote. I always ask first before posting something that someone else has, whether they wrote it or not. Like you've said, I think it's only respectful.

Hope things are well with you. ♥
